Yung_Rotwelsch<p>I am sad that the <a href="https://tldr.nettime.org/tags/BeakerBrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BeakerBrowser</span></a> has been archived. For a short period of time, the Beaker Browser was home to a handful of people who were all working on their own hyperdrive sites. It was like a small workshop, with people from all over the world. I had the hope that the subculture we've been waiting for all these years would emerge over there. I had the hope that a new design language would develop, that DIY would become radical again. Too bad you're leaving, <a href="https://tldr.nettime.org/tags/Beaker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Beaker</span></a>. RIP</p>
Joseph Nuthalapati :fbx:<p>I used Beaker Browser back when hypercore was still called dat. </p><p>Since the renaming, I've been trying to open every hyper:// url I came across with Beaker Browser and was consistently greeted with a "Site Not Found". It doesn't seem to be able to open dat:// urls either.</p><p>Does anybody have a working hyper:// url I can test with?</p><p>I am using Beaker Browser 1.1</p><p><a href="https://social.masto.host/tags/hypercore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hypercore</span></a> <a href="https://social.masto.host/tags/BeakerBrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BeakerBrowser</span></a> <a href="https://social.masto.host/tags/dat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>dat</span></a></p>

You're right in that we should decentralise the web. But it doesn't help in the current discussion, as <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/BeakerBrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BeakerBrowser</span></a> also chromium-based. Sounds like a good project though. What is your relation with it?</p>
