If you read an announcement about a “federated alternative”;
here is 1 thing you should know:

Larry is a right-wing conspiracy theorist and probably an active Nazi. We had a formal group decision to keep him out.
I did inform Jimmy Wales about the defamation too …

PS:
We are working on federating the real wikibase incl. wikidata. Watch out for wikis “Data Reuse Days” …

@sl007 Concur that Larry Sanger has many, many issues associated with him. And that Wikimedia and Wikidata is the way for federation efforts.
