#BadGuys 2 has more twists and more tension and more character work than #FantasticFour. It was immersive. FF was not. Alas.

So, #FantasticFour is... fine. It's entertaining while watching it, but I found myself thinking "oh we're doing this now..." a lot, which usually a sign that the plot is disjointed and the narrative hasn't pulled me in. The #FromSuperheroes podcast points out that it lacks tension, partly bc the plot is straightforward: one threat, no real twists. I think that's accurate. I also don't feel like I got to know these characters, maybe except for Reed.
Post-work outting with chums to catch the new #FantasticFour film, which was that somewhat rare beast these days: a fun, enjoyable Marvel flick (they seem to have lost the knack in recent years).
Sticking with the retro futuristic 1960s era helped a lot, I think. Not genius, but a good, fun, popcorn flick.
And Gilbert Gottfried as the voice of #Galactus.

Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four hat mir Spaß gemacht - es hat mal wieder ein paar MCU Probleme wie begonnene Handlungsfäden, die nicht im selben Film aufgelöst werden, aber das ist wie Thunderbolts ein sehr unterhaltsamer, spannender Film mit einem sehr guten Cast, liebevoll gestalteten Figuren, mit denen man mitfühlen kann - und hier gibt Extrapunkte für ein pseudo-60s Styling zum Niederknien: Ich finde es wichtig, dass solche Filme eine eigene visuelle Identität haben.

I wore my costume to a really fun fan screening (and chose the uniform with pants to be comfy lol) and had a blast seeing the movie again with really passionate Marvel fans

A superhero family must confront an intergalactic threat.
Set in the 1960s of an alternate universe, the film can enjoy a distinctive aesthetic, a story unencumbered by the bloated MCU roster and a faithful adaptation of the source material.
Clever and original, one of the best Marvel.
