#ActuveDuty Sergeant Quornelius Radford [sp? Cornelius?], a 28-year-old #USArmy sergeant with ties to Florida.

The suspect & #army sergeant as well as the #shooting victims are alive.

Radford was taken into custody at about 11:35AM.

The handgun used was a personal weapon which is NOT allowed on base under #MilitaryLaw (#UCMJ).

Update:

Five soldiers were shot on Wednesday at the Army’s #FortStewart in #Georgia, the base said in a social media post.

A post on the #ArmyBase’s FB page told all personnel in the locked down area to “stay inside, close & lock all windows & doors.”Adding, “Due to the lockdown status all gates on Fort Stewart are currently closed.”

Parts of the #FortStewart in SE Georgia were locked down Wednesday after an active shooter was reported on the sprawling Army post.

Fort Stewart said in a FB post that “casualties have been reported & the situation is ongoing.”

“We are currently assessing the situation but we can confirm an active shooter,” Lt. Col. Angel Tomko said.

Multiple people shot at a #Montana business

The #ATF says multiple people have been shot at a Montana business, & authorities are searching for a suspect.

Officials warned people to avoid the area of #Anaconda. The suspect’s home was cleared by a #SWAT team & the suspect was still at large, the #GraniteCounty Sheriff’s office said.

Authorities have yet to release details about what led to the #shooting or the conditions of those who were injured.

Investigators Tues are focusing on whether a gunman was targeting the #NFL when he killed 4 people in Midtown #Manhattan, including a police officer.

Mayor Eric Adams said the authorities “have reason to believe that he was focused on the NFL,”which has offices at 345 Park Avenue.
