#politas #TasPol is getting even more interesting, with the major parties opening the lolly cabinet. Libs have taken some forests back out of production (not that industry wanted them anyway) and will stop funding greyhound racing. And now Labor will make independent MLC Ruth Forrest treasurer! Fun times - what next!?! 
The Tasmanian government has announced that from 2029 (when the current funding deal expires) funding will cease for greyhound racing in the state. This isn't an explicit ban, but given the loss making nature of the industry, it's likely it won't survive without being propped up by the government.
This is great news, and the remaining states should follow suit so we can end this barbaric, cruel practice in Australia once and for all.

An internal ALP review in 2014 found Tasmanian Labor had “lost touch with its regional working‑class base”; some Labor voters won't have a bar of the Greens. If people think "Labor-Greens" the same way they think of the LNP it won't do Tasmanian Labor any good. Tasmania is different from the ACT! #auspol #taspol
Hilarious - the final result in the Tasmanian election is almost exactly the same numbers in the parliament for each party. Really Labor should dump its useless current leader and install someone who's willing to talk to the Greens in order to form government.
