The EU allocates €240M to a fully European supercomputing hardware/software stack for HPC & AI, centred around 3 chiplets:
- Vector accelerator for high-precision HPC and emerging applications in the HPC-AI convergence domain, led by Openchip
- AI Processing Unit designed for AI inference acceleration, led by Axelera
- General-purpose processor optimized for HPC workloads in European supercomputers, led by Codasip
