AP News · Charges dropped against Utah doctor who trashed COVID vaccine dosesThe federal government has dismissed charges against a Utah plastic surgeon accused of throwing away COVID-19 vaccines worth thousands of dollars during the pandemic. Dr. Michael Kirk Moore was also accused of giving children saline shots instead of the vaccine and selling faked vaccination cards. U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a post Saturday on X that the charges against the Midvale, Utah, doctor were dismissed at her direction. Moore and other defendants faced up to 35 years in prison. The trial began Monday in Salt Lake City with jury selection. It was expected to last 15 days.
