You know, there should be a #SoapOpera where all the characters spend all day in drudgery then go home and chat with each other on social media.

I'm not sure where the drama would come from but it would be fairly realistic I think.

huh. today i learned that soap operas are called that because when the genre was developing, many of the sponsors/producers of the shows were soap manufacturers. i expected it to be some sort of metaphor but no it's very literal. operas* produced to sell soap

*in a sense. not technically operas but reminiscent of them because of their drama

The idea of #solarpunk #soapOpera (is it a #solarOpera ?) was initially suggested to me as a mockery of the movement, but I see a huge potential in such a formula!

Imagine several generations living through the #climateChange with very different approaches, seeing their lives completely uprooted. There's so much to explore between the characters who resist or embrace the changes in society!
