Mir wurde "Just Another Way to Die" von #Disturbed als Reaktion auf den #Bodensee - Blogpost hier auf #Mastodon mehrfach empfohlen. Und ich fand es schon bemerkenswert, dass eine #Metal - Band bereits 2010 (!) die Gier und #Klimakrise sowie #Wasserkrise - Gefahren des #Fossilismus aufzeigen konnte.
Daher habe ich das aufrüttelnde Musikvideo unter dem Blogpost eingestellt und auch die Lyrics verlinkt. Wenn es ein paar mehr Menschen erreicht...
So, jetzt hab ich das Dilemma, dass #Disturbed nach Deutschland kommen und ich die so, so gerne mal live sehen wollte - aber nach dem, was David Draiman in Israel alles von sich gegeben hat, was so gar nicht zu dem passt, wofür er sonst immer gestanden hat, bin ich nicht sicher, ob ich guten Gewissens für die Band Geld ausgeben kann.

Wo ich ja Cover Versionen von tollen Songs so sehr verachte, flashen mich dann aber immer wieder einzelnen Ausreißer mit dem was sie aus Klassikern so gemacht haben.
Hier haben wir zum Beispiel Disturbed mit Sound of Silence (Ja, genau DER)

Minus the Christ part, it kind of reminds me of a Halloween version of a Disturbed album ;)
Warum ihre Version von „The Sound of Silence" - love it or hate it, team 'love it' writing - verlinken, wenn es doch auch andere Musik von ihnen gibt? Zum Beispiel die, die ich zuallererst von der Band gehört habe.
