Wenn auch nicht mehr ganz Vollmond, ergibt sich auch heute am 11. Juni ab 23:00 Uhr eine gute Möglichkeit zur Sichtung des sogenannten "Erdbeermondes".
Der Begriff stammt von den nordamerikanischen Algonquin und bezieht sich auf die Zeit der Erdbeerernte – nicht auf die Farbe des Mondes.
In Europa heißen Juni-Vollmonde auch „Rosenmond“ oder „Honigmond“.
Die rötliche Färbung bei tiefem Stand ist rein atmosphärisch.

The strawberry moon last night. That's as close as my DSLR let's me get, but I needed that shot for a cool octogenarian lady from San Diego I happened to meet y'day who lamented that she couldn't see the full moon from her hotel room. #strawberrymoon

If you have a lover or a love interest give them roses as this Moon is also known as the Rose or the Love Moon. The June Moon is also known as the Honey Moon bc it has a slight amber tint to it and it is also a time when honey bees are at their most active. This is were we get the term 'Honeymoon' a holiday taken after marriage.
