It will be part of a presentation in our #museum and #culturalheritage centre. I finished the #darning wild and intuitively. And was so fascinated by the colours that I worked on a textile #brooch (not yet ready) as an optical counterpart. The vanilla yellow jumper had 2 holes at the belly. They are mended by threads and a patch of fabric. The stitches, circling around the big hole like an amoeba and a rhombus, are wild and chaotic. Above there's a textile brooch in the same pink and purple colours. Layered like a collage.

The brooch is layered like a collage with pink dotted and pink striped fabric scraps, an emerald green dotted scrap, some white lace, and a pink silk ribbon. It hangs on a safety pin. There's also a tiny scrap of roses with leaves, embroidered with French Knots. And a silver bead showing a spiral.
Macro of the tiny "roses" part. It was my first experiment with French Knots stitched on gauze. It's cut out and sewn on the top of the brooch onto the silk ribbon.
