On rainy days, it's time to photograph mosses and lichens. I often take photos in the city. But this is also an opportunity to talk to people. A man comes up to me and asks, "Hey boss, what are you doing there? I'm photographing lichens, I say. Why? I like them, I say. And then I put the photos in the biological database. Oh, says the man. I show him the photo. We talk some more about the red bugs that often live on the trunks of lime trees. I'm glad he's interest.

Yesterday we were caught in a torrential downpour. The ground was covered with hail. We were hiding under the canopy waiting for it to stop when a little wet bumblebee sat on my neck. It crawled up my arm, people were the only source of warmth at that moment. Otherwise this photo would not have been taken, bumblebees are very lively.

Cepaea nemoralis
They are small snails, with very variable shell colour. Sometimes they have distinctive dark stripes, but this one has a shell the basic colour of honey. But if you enlarge the photo, you can see the stripes. That's how you can tell this species from a young garden snail, for example.
