#Haystack promises to review #pull #requests like you wrote them yourself, which is perfect if you love pretending your subpar code was brilliant all along.
Because nothing screams #productivity like a tool designed to merge the "fastest" without actually *improving* anything.

Oh no, the #AOSP project is doomed because... wait for it... too many "bot" requests!
Apparently, the Internet is now a #Wild #West where even the #cowboy #servers have had enough of your pesky clickin'. Yeehaw!

OMG, the requests library has a "leak" so bad it's practically a sieve! Apparently, if you use it in this *incredibly specific* way, your credentials run away faster than a cat from a bath!
But don't worry, just never use ".netrc" and you'll be safer than a secret agent at a tea party.

The FTC's #new #rule is here to save us from #deceptive #fees, but wait... the article is MIA!
Apparently, we all resemble "abusive #automated #requests."
Maybe they should draft a rule against their own #error #pages first.

I can't count how many times I've put import requests behind a warnings filter after urllib3's developers decided they can dictate what libraries the end user has.
@FediTips@social.growyourown.services
You can't assume that when you mark a #post for #deletion that it will be #deleted across the #fediverse. Whether a post gets deleted on a remote #server is entirely up to that server.
I guarantee you there are organizations and individuals here on the Fediverse right now that are running their own #ActivityPub servers and are #archiving and #cataloging every post, and they are #ignoring any #Delete #requests.
Because when you mark a post for deletion, that's all you're doing. You're requesting the remote server to delete the post from its #database.
And nobody is required to do that.
(Though the vast majority of ActivityPub servers do.)

My #git #server permanently gets #requests to random old commits or blames of my dotfiles. The requests come from a #singapore Android Firefox. It's not a #ddos or anything, but what you doing my Singaporean friend???
Things are really different in the #fediverse.
If i get a follow/connect/friendship request, it actually matters from _where_ that comes.
shitposter..club? GTFO, *delete*.
mastodon..social? Well, i need to see your profile and latest posts first.
infosec..exchange? Uh?? Well, tell me what you have to say ;)
On shitter, goggle plus, fuckbook and virtually _any_ other "social media" or "dating" site, it's completely irrelevant what your "domain" is.
And while still not using BS, i imagine it's virtually the same over there, cuz you can enter your own domain at will, but are not actually hosting shit at all.......

Learning how to use the python requests library to work with an api, as I have to add something new to my website helper tool.
Is it just me or does it feel kind of unintuitive to have to source the venv/bin/activate rather than just execute it with bash?

Apologies for running out of #AltText space, it's a long read, and I condensed the text as best I could.
I shot a short video about my new Cameo site. If you're interested in personalized 3-5 minute videos you can request for yourself or for people you care about (e.g. giving them a needed pep-talk), check out the site and my profile!

Unfortunately, Ipfs.io sometimes returns "Too many #requests" instead of the #index.htm #file. I'm #sorry, the #bootloader could theoretically handle #this, but unfortunately I'll #never #fix #it. This is no longer #possible at the #original #IPFS address. That's why #RPlayer is primarily an #archive.
How to Speed up HTTP Requests Using the Requests Session Object https://youtu.be/u6PiK2u-U8w
So now I am a bit puzzled. Just use request.Session for the majority of smaller cases, and for many requests use concurrent.futures?
What is your experience? Are there particular reasons you would use httpx over requests or concurrent.futures? E.g. scaling, asyncio, HTTP/2 support, other?
Curious to hear ...
I want an album that makes me feel like I did when I heard The Unforgettable Fire for the first time.
Or, like, the eighth time.
