I've more commonly seen complaints about electricity bills on local social media in winter, but the same principle applies in summer
As temperature ranges increase, so too will costs for heating/cooling, especially in leaky houses
People will happily spend $50k on an F150 that's worth half as much in 5 years
But balk at spending $5k on foam insulation that returns more than half in 5 years
(Fudging the numbers etc. for effect, but broadly in line…)
