One of #Fastmail's biggest flaws was that you could not open your email in the app while offline. Terrible in airports where you need to dig up a booking number but there is no reception . All fixed now apparently!

While I use proton it's not perfect. No drive app for Linux. Have to run bridge to get the IMAP protocol. No integration of calendar with standard GNOME apps. And not sure what to think of all those #privacy claims.

Many people recommend #fastmail.

But...

Proton Ultimate is around 78 EUR per year (there was a promo some time ago) while in Poland fastmail is only 10% cheaper. And I have 570 gb in proton vs 60 gb in fastmail...

Been logged out of #Google on my Android phone for a coupla years now for #privacy reasons. Beginning to wonder if there are really any advantages to doing this. I use #Fastmail rather than #Gmail so no problem there. But I'd like to start using a wallet app rather than carry credit cars. Google Wallet's probably the best one.

Without a doubt my most desired utility of #fastmail has been to use it offline. So many cases offline is needed when on mobile. Or even on spotty connection.

@randulo It's a shame you are carrying such negativity after all these years. I for one, and I am sure there are many more, think #Fastmail is a great service. You get a lot of bang for your buck. I really can't fault them. If I had one wish it would be a data centre outwith the USA, but we can't have everything.

Hopefully you have found a solution that now suits you.

#Bitwarden on my #Android phone keeps losing my #Fastmail masked email API key and now it's just saying "error sending request" with a new key. I'm about ready to trash it, since the ability to generate masked emails directly in my password manager was my main reason for being willing to pay for a password manager.

Is somebody using #1Password in combination with #Fastmail?

the weirdest thing is happening with #fastmail (in browser). when I click on a message, it gives me the "Nothing to read here!" screen I associate with an empty inbox/tag. then I go back to my inbox and there's a blank space where that message was.

TIL that if you use #Fastmail’s #DNS for your e-mail domain, by default your #DMARC #TXT record is set to “p=none.” I highly recommend going into your Fastmail DNS settings, disabling the default DMARC TXT record, and adding a new custom record with “p=quarantine” or “p=reject.”

I wish I’d have known and fixed this years ago. (I discovered it accidentally while playing with MXToolbox.)

I love #FastMail. Best move I ever made. It saved my life today -- ok, a bit dramatic, but ....

I got a new mobil phone yesterday. Used the phone app to transfer my data for the old one. All looked great. Somehow, a few hours later my phone removed half my contacts and then syncs that with my other devices (and my old phone), plus Fastmail. This morning I noticed the problem. By that point every device was the same.

Thankfully, I discovered that FastMail has a rollback feature for up to 7 days. I was able to rollback my contacts to 24 hours ago. Sorted. And relaxed.
