"House committees have been laboring for months to draft the legislation, which Republicans have labeled 'THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL,' a nod to Trump himself. Speaker Mike Johnson is pushing to approve the package and send it to the Senate by Memorial Day.

You probably know about this already but I just found out Sen. #CoryBooker & Rep. #HakeemJeffries are leading a sit-in on the Capitol steps in #DC to #protest tomorrow’s vote to gut #Medicaid. They’re asking folks to come out to support them. If we make enough noise, maybe other elected officials will get off their asses and show up too.

@Bellison22 Whether you like #BernieSanders or not (and I get it that some people don't and never will), he and #AOC have tapped into an urgent, grassroots energy here, an energy that #Democrats desperately need and that #ChuckSchumer, #HakeemJeffries and all their consultants have no clue about.

Jeffries is profoundly unaware that these times require a different skill set than he possesses. He has the "inside cloakroom" skills that served well during normie times. He's setting up committees and task forces on the deck of the Titanic, and he's pretty pleased with his work flow chart.
I have no doubt he feels outrage, but he completely lacks the believable fire to be an effective leader of the opposition. He's only effective in wrangling a few hundred members by privately and quietly trading favors. This is not the qualities we need when the Dems lack the votes, and can only eke out tiny concessions in the margins from the GOP while MAGAs blow up the government and break deals, norms, and laws without remorse.
He's acting like a clueless nerd who's about to get pants by the bullies, and he's sure they won't.
What a waste. A historical embarrassment.
Jeezus Cripes Hakeem Jeffries can you sound less like you care about the destruction of our nation? He has no passion evident. His response to frightened targeted constituents is "We are forming A Rapid Response Task Force and Litigation Working Group".
He has no idea how to stop speaking in generalities, and use individual names and personal stories.
