Die aktuellen #EUAgrarsubventionen nutzen das Potenzial für den #Agrarumweltschutz nicht ausreichend. Statt 4 Prozent der #Ackerflächen für den #Biodiversitätsschutz stillzulegen, können #Landwirte 2024 durch den Anbau von #Leguminosen oder #Zwischenfrüchten die Anforderungen erfüllen. Dies führt dazu, dass nur 10 Prozent der Betriebe zusätzliche #Biodiversitätsflächen schaffen müssen, während die ursprüngliche Regelung deutlich mehr Flächen geschützt hätte.#Agrarpolitik

UmweltbundesamtChancen für den Agrarumweltschutz bleiben ungenutztUm EU-Agrarsubventionen zu erhalten, müssen Betriebe bestimmte Mindeststandards für den Schutz der Umwelt einhalten. Dazu zählt die Auflage, 4 Prozent der Ackerflächen zum Schutz der Biodiversität aus der Produktion zu nehmen. Für 2024 wurde das Anforderungsniveau jedoch reduziert, so dass 90 Prozent der Betriebe keine zusätzlichen Maßnahmen zum Schutz der Biodiversität umsetzen müssen.
