Die Gefleckte Wiesenschnake ist überwiegend dämmerungsaktiv. Am Tag ruht sie meist auf Pflanzen. Tritt sie massenhaft auf, gelten ihre Larven als Schädlinge, da sie sich vor allem gerne von den Wurzeln von Feldfrüchten ernähren. Die Imagos sind hingegen harmlos, da sie nicht stechen können und sich von Pollen und Nektar verschiedener Blüten ernähren.

Der Braunrötliche Spitzendeckenbock gehört zu den Bockkäfern und ist überwiegend in Wärmegebieten, an Waldrändern, in Parksund alten Alleen zwischen Mai und August zu finden. Er ernährt sich von Pollen und ist meist auf Doldenblütengewächsen wie Schafgarbe und Margerite anzutreffen.

Die Achateule ist dämmerungs- und nachtaktiv. Bei dem Schmetterling handelt es sich um einen Wanderfalter. In Mitteleuropa gibt es zwei Generationen pro Jahr. In wärmeren Regionen kann die Raupe überwintern. Die Falter schlüpfen im Frühjahr und werden durch Zuflüge aus Südeuropa ergänzt. Anzutreffen ist die Achateule an Waldrändern, auf Lichtungen, feuchten Wiesen, in Gärten, Parks, aber auch in Städten.

"untitled (2009)" - Robert Irwin

The sculpture created by Robert Irwin is placed in the highest spot of the visiting area at Instituto Inhotim. The artist was based on an architectural language present in constructions made of precast concrete molds. The tilted walls compose an octagonal structure sheltering yellow, triangular, and textured glasses on top of each wall.

Shifting during the day, the incidence of sunlight passes through this sculpture open to the sky and partially unfolded, promoting a play of shadow and light on the ground and the walls. This way, it makes evident not only the perception of its formal structure but also the natural phenomena it is subject to.
