Since installing it, when my laptop is plugged in my fan goes to top speed when I max out a single CPU core (out of 16 cores!). I don't think it should do that, but what do I know? I've spent hours trying to figure out what's going on and interacting with Framework support. Sounds good on paper, but expensive and lock in into one ecosystem. They also open source everything. Right now looks to me like creating small monopolies at small niches. Again, it's a step forward but not entirely the product "for humanity".</p>

When it works, I love it. I did some tweaking but I don't think I've needed to manually edit any OS configuration files to get results I liked.</p><p>That being said, it's just not stable. There are crashes. Freezes... and I agree with everything in the post about speed, but reliability even more so.</p><p>I think this convinced me to make a switch to Debian.</p><p>Have any folks had luck with Debian 13 on a <a href="https://freeradical.zone/tags/framework" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>framework</span></a> 16 laptop?</p>
